CaberDek, part of West Fraser’s CaberFloor range, helps to transform a neglected 1960’s bungalow in West Yorkshire into a forever home
Mark and Jayne Holdsworth bought a neglected 1960’s bungalow in Leeds and envisaged a fantastic forever home.
However, there were a lot of challenges ahead with the building being situated on a steep slope, the floors needing to be installed to take the levels of the house up before they were able to make the building watertight.
The extension programme comprises demolition and renovation stages as the couple reconfigure their home and construct a three-storey extension.
CaberDek
Howarth Timber recommended West Fraser’s CaberDek and the results spoke for themselves.
CaberDek, part of West Fraser’s CaberFloor range, is designed to withstand the elements for up to 42 days between laying the floor and fixing the roof.
The boards with their peelable film were used to create the kitchen floor on the first-floor extension and on the entire second floor.
“We needed a hard-wearing heavy-duty product that provided protection from the elements. With CaberDek that’s exactly what we got!” said Mark. “The boards are good quality and they went down easily without any challenges.”
