Stepnell Developments Ltd has received planning permission for a 50 hectare development south-west of Daventry

James Cook of Blacks Solicitors worked alongside Hawksmoor, Knight Frank and Nexus Planning, to support Stepnell Developments Ltd in securing planning permission and the completion of the associated Section 106 Agreement relating to a 50 hectares development.

The land will be developed for a sustainable urban extension of up to 1,100 dwellings, a two-form entry primary school, and a local centre.

‘Excellent reputation of the planning team’

Richard Wain, managing director of Hawksmoor who led the project team, said: “The excellent reputation of the planning team at Blacks Solicitors is testament to their hard work and expertise.

“We are most grateful to James Cook and Katy McPhie for their advice and professional support which enabled us to secure planning permission and dispose of the site effectively. We’re looking forward to seeing how the development of the site progresses.”

‘Important sustainable extension to Daventry’

James Cook, a partner and head of Planning at Blacks Solicitors, commented: “We were delighted to work closely with Hawksmoor, Knight Frank and Nexus Planning to secure the grant of planning permission for an important sustainable extension to Daventry.

“This allocated site will provide a significant contribution towards the district’s housing supply during the plan period.

“Our instruction in this matter underlines the growing reputation of our Planning team for the successful promotion of large scale development throughout all stages of the planning process.”

Stepnell Developments have agreed to the disposal of the site with Spitfire Homes.
