Waterside Places has signed a major deal with Latimer – the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, to deliver the fourth and final phase at Islington Wharf
Waterside Places has appointed Morgan Sindall Construction as the scheme’s main contractor.
The Islington Wharf site sits within the Piccadilly Basin, which has been transformed over many years and is just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station.
The scheme is well-placed for walking, cycling and public transport, enabling residents to access the amenities and employment opportunities within the city and further afield thanks to its unrivalled connectivity.
Islington Wharf will bring forward 106 one and two-bedroom apartments over two buildings at 11 and 16 storeys respectively, with 54 available through shared ownership, on the corner of Great Ancoats Street and Old Mill Street.
The wider Islington Wharf scheme has been delivered by developer Waterside Places, a strategic joint venture between Muse Developments – one of the UK’s leading mixed-use and urban regenerator – and the Canal & River Trust.
To date, the wider Islington Wharf development has brought forward 348 much-needed city centre homes on the banks of the Ashton Canal, ranging from one-bedroom apartments, to four-bedroom family townhouse homes that are innovatively and sympathetically designed to blend both the heritage of the area and its future; boasting high-quality features throughout.
