Aberdeen-based building firm Anderson Construction has revealed it has £2m worth of new contracts on its books…

Anderson Construction has won £2m worth of construction contracts in the north-east. The Aberdeen-based firm said this figure includes a range of projects, such as an £800,000 extension and refurbishment contract for Camphill Estates in Bieldside, and work for Langstane Housing Association in Stonehaven and Peterhead.

Other contracts include Aberdeen Presbytery and work at the West Church of St Nicholas, as well as the RSPB’s Loch of Strathbeg facility in Crimond.

The contracts follow successful projects such as work carried out at the Grampian Transport Museum, Alford; an industrial refit for Technip, Echt; and rebuilding work on a 19th century mansion spanning four storeys.

Director of Anderson Jim Buchan said: “These new awards offer security for our workforce during testing times for all sectors in Aberdeen, the diversity of the projects is a testament to the hard work of every member of our team as well as our supply chain”.

Managing Director Kenny Anderson added: “In addition to the construction success it is heartening to see our proactive letting work on our commercial and residential portfolio bear fruit.”

The firm is operated and owned by Anderson and Buchan from their Northfield headquarters. It hires 40 people directly, and some 50 others via subcontractors.
