BAM Construction has been appointed by hub west Scotland to build the country’s biggest health centre in Parkhead, Glasgow
North East Health Centre, located on Salamanca Street, will be delivered on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Glasgow Health & Social Care Partnership, and will accommodate 900 staff, bringing together a number of community health services currently located at nine different sites.
The £35m design and build contract will feature a three-storey building, spanning 10,000 sqm of clinical, support and training space and car parking. It will enable Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to develop more integrated and efficient ways of delivering critical public services across the North East of Glasgow.
The hub will provide GP surgeries, a pharmacy, specialist children’s services, district nursing, health visitors, social work services, older people’s mental health services, learning disability services, sexual health services; addiction services, meeting rooms and a café.

Designed by Hoskins Architects, work will commence on site in summer 2020 and will be delivered in phases with a scheduled for completion early 2025.

BAM Construction has a track record delivering health care projects and is currently working on delivering Stobhill Hospital’s dedicated mental health campus and Greenock Health Centre.
