Renovations to the current Central Station are set to start in 2020 and the entire development will be completed over several phases over a eight-nine year period.

In a bid to bring more tourism to the area, the development is hoped to attract more than 600,000 more visitors a year to Blackpool.

And, as a result, 1000 jobs will be created to support the influx.

To tie in with the proposed theme of ‘Chariot of the God’s’, the attractions could be built around the theme of unsolved mysteries of the past, such as the pyramids of Egypt and Mexico, ancient cave drawings and the monuments of Easter Island.

Nikal Ltd and Media Invest Entertainment own the property rights of Chariots Of the Gods and will work closely with Blackpool Council to deliver the plans.
