Glancy Nicholls Architects has released their design for 100 Broad Street, set to be one of the tallest buildings in the UK outside of London

The scheme has been submitted recently to Birmingham City Council for full planning approval. Standing at 193m tall with a super slim profile 100 Broad Street will be the pinnacle high rise in the emerging Broad Street cluster of tall buildings.

The scheme compromises of 500 high end luxury apartments with unique panoramic views, a host of first-class residential amenity space and activated commercial ground floor uses contributing positively to the evolving Broad Street offer.

Located within the building’s glazed crown will be the highest altitude dining experience found in the UK outside of the capital with a sky lounge and fine dining restaurant.

The development will create an iconic building enhancing Birmingham’s skyline, with guests benefitting from clear views across Birmingham.

The scheme will result in not only a very elegant architectural form but also a structurally iconic building. The unique proportions of the building mean that it classifies as a ‘super-slender’ skyscraper.

Glancy Nicholls Architects was established by Lyndon Glancy and Patrick Nicholls in June 2004. Working in various sectors including Education, Private Residential, Commercial, Social Care, Masterplanning and Heritage.
