Cala Homes has exchanged contracts on two sites with the potential to deliver 200 new homes in West Sussex and Surrey
With full planning permission already in place, Cala will deliver 118 new homes in West Sussex on a 23-acre former agricultural site on Broad Road.
The development will comprise a mix of one- to four-bedroom starter and family homes that will have strong sustainability and biodiversity credentials. 40% of the new homes will be fitted with solar panels and all units will provide EV charging points.
A new public open space, children’s play area, and a community centre will also be delivered, along with new routes for pedestrians and cyclists that will better connect the site to the village of Hambrook.

Alistair Currie, senior land manager, Cala South Home Counties, said: “We have a wide scope of capabilities and skills at Cala. In Waverley, Surrey, Cala has exchanged on a conditional contract to purchase Hindhead Royal School.
Affordable homes in Surrey, Hindhead Royal School
Subject to planning consent, the 24-acre site has a draft allocation in the Local Plan for 90 new homes, including affordable housing.
It proposes to retain and convert the principal school building to new apartments as well as family homes.
The school building is mock-Tudor with architectural appeal and currently houses the prep school which will join the sister campus currently housing the senior school.
Nick Brown, land director at Cala South Home Counties, said: “We have many years of operational experience in Surrey, having delivered a number of quality homes in the area. We understand the wants and needs of the local community and are thrilled to be adding the School site to our offer.”
