A new survey has revealed the construction industry remains confident as the UK forges forward with some of the largest infrastructure projects seen in a generation…
The Infrastructure Outlook Report, based on research from Ipsos Mori and commissioned by construction firm Tarmac, has revealed confidence in the construction sector.
The survey revealed two third of all respondents were confident the overall infrastructure outlook over the next 12 months remained positive in the light of numerous high profile projects such as HS2 and the ÂŁ15m national road building programme.
However, two thirds of those surveyed said there was not enough being done to meet the infrastructure requirements in the UK.
Tarmac chief executive Cyrille Ragoucy said: “It’s great to see that the construction industry is in a confident mood, but there is no room for complacency.
“Challenges remain in meeting the UK’s infrastructure requirements and there is concern about the delivery in the years ahead.”
