Mark Gardham, regional director at Interserve Construction, said: “Our appointment to the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust’s construction framework and the award of the first project at Roseberry Park Hospital highlight our capabilities in delivering first-class healthcare facilities in the North East.
“We are delighted to be working with the Trust to deliver this new ward and refurbishment works to help improve the patient experience.
“Interserve has completed more than 100 construction projects in the health sector in the UK in the past ten years. And our appointment to carry out refurbishment work on Roseberry Park Hospital follows our recent success in securing a £20m contract with St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in South London.”
Colin Martin, chief executive at Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our focus is to continue the planned programme of work at Roseberry Park and to ensure that the hospital meets our high standards.
“Interserve has demonstrated a real understanding of the project and has a great deal of experience in both the health sector and in similar projects so we are looking forward to working with them.”
