One Vision Housing’s new development, the Conway Point housing scheme, will deliver 46 Rent to Buy apartments in Wirral

Located two minutes away from Birkenhead town centre, the Conway Point housing scheme will provide essential and affordable apartments to rent for local residents. One Vision Housing’s new development has been made possible by the £1.7 million funding from Homes England.

The Conway Point housing offers an affordable alternative

The Centre for Social Justice recently reported that over 40% of population in the North West felt that housing costs in their area were ‘too high’. 77% of those individuals were also in agreement that social housing was an essential resource for vulnerable people.

Conway Point is part of The Sovini Group’s development framework, which aims to tackle high housing costs by delivering high quality and affordable modern homes.

The Rent to Buy scheme will help customers by offering rent at around 20% less than the market price, taking a financial weight off their shoulders and allowing them to save for a deposit and buy the apartment through Shared Ownership or an outright purchase.

Looking after our environment is central to this project

In line with The Future Buildings Standard (2021), Conway Point housing is being developed by Sovini Construction with a ‘fabric first’ approach on a brownfield site.

This method involves maximising performance of components and materials selected during construction and aiming to reduce energy consumption, such as thermal efficiency and running costs.

The 46 apartments will includee environmentally friendly features such as efficient toilets, taps, showers, and light fittings.
