Tilbury Douglas secures place on 2021 DfE Construction Framework

Tilbury Douglas has been appointed on the new Department for Education’s (DfE) 2021 Construction Framework, with an anticipated spend of £1.8bn to cover all education-related projects from £6-12m

The Construction Framework supports school building programmes and is also available for schools, local authorities, and other government departments to use.

The framework is divided into 3 value bands, and each value band into regions:

  • High-value band (£12m+) – 2 regions.
  • Medium value band (£6m to £12m) – 8 regions.
  • Low-value band (£0.5m to £6m) – 12 regions.

Tilbury Douglas successfully delivered on the current DfE 2017 Construction Framework, where it ranked first place on all the mid value band lots on the new four-year framework.

As part of the current DfE Construction Framework 2017, Tilbury Douglas has been awarded 31 projects worth approximately £240m. This included 18 special educational needs disability schools, nine primary schools, and four secondary schools.
