Gateley acquires Smithers Purslow, a multi-disciplinary chartered surveying practice, for £20m to expand its Property Platform business
The deal will see Smithers Purslow trade as Gateley Smithers Purslow and is Gateley’s largest acquisition to date.
Gateley’s Property Platform team advise on construction, planning, residential development, real estate finance, disputes, and investment matters.
Smithers Purslow’s will work with Gateley Vinden, the group’s dispute resolution and built environment consultants, to improve and expand upon a number of service lines.
Solving complex building, construction, and property issues
The acquisition will increase the capacity for solving complex building, construction, and property issues and will also extend the depth of services for the UK’s sizeable and growing high-value property insurance claims market.
All members of the team will remain within the business and managing director, Stephen Fraser and senior director, Andrew Bussey will join the Gateley Smithers Purslow management board.
