Graham has secured a place on the NHS shared business services framework agreement for PS-Works: Public Sector Construction Works
NHS shared business services (NHS SBS) is a joint venture between the Department of Health and Sopra Steria.
It was established to provide modern corporate services to the NHS, which improve efficiency and quality, save time and money, and support world-class patient care.
Graham was named in the highest value national lot categories for public sector projects over £35m (Lot 5, seven contractors in total) and for schemes valued between £15m and £35m (Lot 4, eight contractors in total).
Ensuring sustainability and social value
The construction works framework provides a compliant route for the NHS and any public sector organisation to access construction works projects.
It covers all types of building and construction works, design works, alteration and refurbishment works packages including demolition and remediation, as well as additional services that include planning applications and full architectural design.
The duration of the framework is three years, running from 17 December 2020 to 16 December 2023, with the option to extend by two further two-year periods up to 2027.
Among the considerable benefits are a clear pricing structure, the choice and flexibility to utilise a number of model form contracts, such as JCT and NEC, and the focus on collaboration built upon the FAC-1 Contract.
In addition, the OJEU compliant framework supports the government’s strategy by ensuring that social value, sustainability and modern methods of construction (MMC) are incorporated to ensure the delivery of best value.
