Caddick Construction has been appointed to deliver an £8.1 million expansion of Hopwood Hall College and University Centre’s Middleton Campus
Caddick Construction will deliver a 15,000 sq ft extension and refurbishment of the Henry West Building, Technology Centre and Annex at Hopwood Hall’s Middleton Campus. Building work is set to commence this week and should be finished by spring 2023.
The Hopwood Hall College and University Centre provide T-Level qualifications, a two-year technical qualification for 16 to 19-year olds. Hopwood Hall College was one of the first colleges to be approved by the Department for Education to deliver the T-Levels. The education facility offers classroom based learning, specialist teaching expertise and industry work placements.
Caddick Construction is one of the employers offering students work placements.

Lewis Crichton, head of facilities and risk management at Hopwood Hall College and University Centre, commented:
“Hopwood Hall College has an extensive and wide array of facilities, supporting a host of curriculum areas. The targeted investment into the College’s Technology Centre will expand on this offering by introducing a new Advanced Manufacturing Centre, along with expansion of current facilities to meet demand in other construction and engineering disciplines.
