Tubes for the first full-scale Hyperloop test track are being put into place in Toulouse, France
The Hyperloop test track will see passengers and freight travel in pressurised capsules at up to 1,233km per hour using electromagnetic propulsion powered by the sun.
The four-metre diameter tubes are being installed by Hyperloop Transportation Technologies at its research and development centre in Toulouse.
The first phase includes a closed, 320-metre system that will be operational this year.
A second, full-scale system of 1km elevated by pylons at a height of 5.8 metres will be completed in 2019.
