Kier Property in a joint venture with Maple Grove Developments has sold its Tri-Link140 industrial scheme in Normanton to Huntingdonshire district council for an undisclosed sum

Tri-Link140 sits on a six-acre site and was developed by Kier Property in a JV with Maple Grove Developments and its partner Yorvale. The scheme offers 142,338 sq ft of industrial and distribution space and is located a one minute drive from J31 of the M62.

The development also includes two-storey office accommodation, 13 dock level loading doors and 160 parking spaces; all within the centre of Wakefield’s Europort giving direct access to the Europort Freight Terminal.

Tom Gilman, Kier Property’s managing director for the north, commented: “Selling this scheme to Huntingdon district council demonstrates our ability to offer quality products to the market with a long-term investment angle.”

Huntingdonshire district council commented: “The Tri-Link140 acquisition forms part of the district council’s Commercial Investment Strategy and Business Plan. The primary aim of the strategy is to generate an income stream that supports and secures the delivery of council services into the future.”

Kier Property has a pipeline of £1.8bn across all asset classes over the next 10 years and has developed more than 6 million square feet in the industrial sector through its Trade City and Logistics City brands.

JLL represented the vendors and Huntingdonshire district council was represented by DTRE.
