Kier appointed to deliver £37.2m residential development

Kier has been appointed by Newlon Housing Trust to deliver its brand new £37.2m residential development near Tottenham Hale in Haringey

The new 22-storey development will comprise of 128 flats, 117 of which are Shared Ownership and 11 to be a private sale, as well as one retail unit on the ground floor with the view to provide a local amenity to residents.

The new development helps to address London Mayor, Sadiq Khan’s affordable housing bid for the capital with 91% of the homes being sold under Shared Ownership.

Works include building over a Thames Water Trunk Sewer and 2 Victoria Line LUL tunnels. CFA piled foundations ranging from 600 – 1200mm Dia. A reinforced Concrete frame, infilled with a steel structural framing system with the building façade comprising mainly handset brickwork.

It will include all infrastructure works, complete with all services, associated external works and connection to mains drainage and service mains as well as all requisite services diversion.

This latest win for Kier reinforces its long-standing relationship with Newlon and marks the fifth project it has been appointed to deliver by the housing trust.

The project commenced in January 2019, with works due to complete in May 2021.
