Sustainable housing development specialists Lovell have been awarded around £250m by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to build more than 900 new homes in south Wiltshire
The new properties will be used to house soldiers and their families who are relocating from Germany to Salisbury Plain as part of the Army Basing Programme (ABP).
The large-scale Army Basing Programme will see the relocation of approximately 4,000 service personnel and their families into the area by 2020.
The 917 new homes will be developed at three sites in Bulford, Larkhill and Ludgershall by May 2020.
The Army Basing Programme scheme – which is set to commence in early 2018 – will provide jobs for up to 700 construction workers at the peak of the development and generate over £100m for the local economy.

The construction of new roads and infrastructure began in spring 2017.
Lovell previously completed 346 new homes in Stafford for returning soldiers in 2015.
