IMK Automotive
The origins of the automotive business date back to 1975 in the historic heart of the leather industry in Northamptonshire and has now become the centre of excellence for automotive leather interior trim in the UK.
The organisation is responsible for individual trimmed components supplied to the World’s most prestigious automotive brands, including Aston Martins – James Bond’s car of choice, right through to the Bentley. At present, these elements are formed at various sites in Kettering and Coventry respectively.
The scheme represents the firm’s commitment and contribution to the local area, while at the same time enhances I M Kelly’s global credentials.
Michael George, Director of Contracting commented: ‘’We have worked alongside Parkway Construction (MK) Ltd on similar projects at Kettering Business Park where this project is located, so are familiar with the surroundings, which puts us in a strong position to deliver another high-class service.’’
George continued: ‘’It is good to see a successful global brand that already has established roots in the Kettering area looking to build on their foundations in the same locality, which will only be a good thing for the nearby communities.’’
