The No.1 Palace Street development that neighbours Buckingham Palace has ‘Topped Out’ during a ceremony held on Friday
The final piece of concrete was laid by Northacre Development Director, David Harman and Dean Banks, Chief Executive Officer of Balfour Beatty’s UK Construction Services business.
Dean Banks, Chief Executive Officer of Balfour Beatty’s UK Construction Services business, said: “No. 1 Palace Street is testament to Balfour Beatty’s ability to deliver complex schemes in confined, city-centre spaces safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.
“Working in partnership with Northacre, Balfour Beatty is ensuring this ambitious and complex development next to Buckingham Palace is turned into a reality.”
Located in the heart of St James’s Park and due to complete in 2020, No.1 Palace Street offers a rare opportunity to live opposite The Queen.
The scheme will provide 72 state-of-the-art apartments with unrivalled views of the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
David Harman, Northacre’s Development Director comments;
“No.1 Palace Street is an exceptional proposition and we are proud to have reached this important milestone, in what has been a challenging engineering phase of the project.
“A testament to our team’s hard work pioneering Northacre’s ambitious vision to conceptualise, design and develop a world-class London landmark.”
Encompassing five different architectural styles within its substantial island site, Grade II Listed No.1 Palace Street has provided a complex and diverse project for London’s most experienced revival developers, Northacre and leading international infrastructure group, Balfour Beatty.
The project has involved a complicated façade retention and restoration of important period features alongside a four-storey sub-ground construction.
