Tilbury Douglas has announced its partnership with pregnancy loss charity CRADLE, in a construction industry ‘first’ to provide services to support those affected by early pregnancy loss
Tilbury Douglas has multiple projects in the healthcare sector and is currently onsite at several NHS trusts at which CRADLE also has a presence.
This means colleagues can access direct support, as well as provide services for the local communities in which they operate. As the company’s nominated charity, employees will also focus on raising funds for a worthwhile cause that supports local communities directly.
CRADLE is a charity which focuses on raising funds and delivering a fast-track counselling service and peer support. CRADLE also donates charity bags to the NHS, providing essential toiletries which are available to those receiving care in hospital during or following pregnancy loss.
Currently, more than 40 NHS Hospitals have a CRADLE early pregnancy loss bereavement service and the charity aspires to have a presence in 50 Hospitals by the end of 2022.
The partnership follows the launch of Tilbury Douglas’ new sustainability strategy: ‘People, Planet and Performance (PPP)’, which provides a comprehensive approach to carbon reduction, sustainability, and social value outcomes across the business and for its customers.
