Simpson Strong-Tie is known for helping people build safer, stronger structures economically, this is done by designing, engineering and manufacturing “No Equal” structural connectors and other related products that meet or exceed customers’ needs and expectations
What you may not know is that Simpson Strong-Tie also has its own range of screws both loose and collated to complement its innovative Quik Drive system.
Quik Drive is an alternative to traditional screwing and nailing.
The innovative Quik Drive auto-feed screw driving system is a significantly faster way to install screws. With a multitude of modular fittings and screws for a huge range of purposes, there is a Quik Drive kit to suit just about every application, from drywall installation to mezzanine floor construction and almost everything in between.
The objective is to increase the productivity of end-users allowing them to install screws faster and easier than ever before, saving both time and money. Quik Drive has a variety of screws available ranging from 19mm to 76mm in length in a variety of materials suited for indoor use, outdoor use and severe weather conditions. All Quik Drive attachments have a precise self-locking depth adjustment for consistent fastening and a built-in bit wrench making driver bit changes quick and easy.
It’s ergonomic too, allowing the installation of screws into walls, floors and ceilings without the need for bending, stretching or crouching. Which means not only can the system operate for several hours at a time, so can you.
Simple to use, the Quik Drive system fits onto all leading drywall drivers with just a click. The patented screw strips are designed for simple one handloading, to avoid jamming and unlike many collated screw strips, a partially used one can be saved for reuse later – so it’s cost-effective too.
The curved strip is designed to keep the screws away from the work surface to avoid marking the surface and making it easier to move between driving locations. Quik Drive has approvals from various companies including Trex and James Hardie highlighting the reliability and trustworthiness of the system.
Having recently won an innovation award for best in show product at the Fastener Expo, Quik Drive will also feature at UK Construction Week on 8-10 October at NEC Birmingham in the Innovation Zone.
Simpson Strong-Tie will be exhibiting at UK Construction Week on stand B404 showcasing a range of their products including a demonstration area where visitors can experience using Quik Drive themselves. Plus, there’s also the chance to win over £2500 worth of SST giveaways.
