Atkins has revealed its design for Ryanair’s new office campus in Dublin, comprising a state-of-the-art six-storey office development
The 10,700 m sq, six-storey office development will sit alongside Ryanair’s existing head office at Airside Business Park, located close to Dublin Airport.
Atkins was appointed earlier this year to lead the project from concept stage and planning application through to detailed design, contractor procurement, construction supervision and project handover.
Justin Norman, managing director of Atkins Ireland, said: “This is a significant project which adds to our portfolio of work supporting Ryanair’s continued growth from a well-established base in Dublin. It’s also allowed us to work with Ryanair to design a highly sustainable building in a fully digital environment, utilising BIM to drive improved collaboration and efficiency.”
Atkins’ design targets minimal environmental impacts and reduced operational costs through features such as solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, and energy efficient lighting. Sustainable Urban Drainage will also be integrated to enhance the office development’s existing ecological system.
Thomas Fowler, director of Fuel & Facilities at Ryanair, commented: “This iconic office development is Dublin’s new generation of contemporary workspace and is an exciting addition to North Dublin’s global business district.
“Our state-of-the-art six-storey office development provides spacious, inspiring, light-filled workspaces with panoramic views. We are delighted to have Atkins as our engineering and architectural designers on this cutting edge office development as Atkins’ full multidiscipline team have the technical expertise to successfully deliver this project.”
