The Sovereign Housing Association repairs framework has gone live, seeking tenders with pledges to social value projects for a four-year contract
The new Sovereign Housing Association repairs framework seeks tenders for responsive repairs to support Sovereign’s in-house property services team.
The new repairs framework represents a major investment, with the tender worth £3m every year over the course of the four-year contract.
The framework covers the provision of responsive maintenance, repairs, installations and work to empty homes, as well as more specialist responsive services.
The Sovereign Housing Association repairs framework will now include sole traders in the tendering process
Through its Project Match programme, Sovereign will maximise opportunities to deliver social value in its communities by asking suppliers which community project they are able to fulfil from a predetermined list.
Tender offers will then be scored on a whole host of criteria related to quality, cost and social value.
This includes commitments to health and safety, efforts to measure and monitor environmental impact and measures to improve equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
Entries with more outstanding social value commitments will receive a more positive weighting and overall score.
The 61,000-home housing association will use the framework across eight regions, drawing in multiple preferred suppliers for each.
The tendering process has been expanded to invite sole traders to participate.
Applicants will have the opportunity to impress with their pledges to social value
Rebecca Morgan, head of client services at Sovereign, said: “We take our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibilities seriously, which means we’re constantly thinking of ways to increase our social value throughout the supply chain.
“Key to this is working with a diverse range of suppliers, who share our values and are representative of the communities we serve.”
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 30 November 2022.
