Leading UK developer St. Modwen Homes announces £85m+ of investment across five sites with plans to construct 1,100 new homes in England
The new 1,100 homes will be located in Lancashire, Kent, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and London. The total investment in the St. Modwen project comes in at over £85m.
St. Modwen Homes plan to double in size of the next five years
The new 1,100 homes include a 28.6-acre land development in Ditton Edge, Kent with permission for 300 homes.
Another 116 homes will go up in Coalville, Leicestershire and in West London, St. Modwen and Vinci have secured 267 units in Uxbridge.
Others include a 300 housing development in Newark, Nottinghamshire and an additional 128 homes in Chorley, Lancashire.
The announcement for 1,100 new homes comes just after St. Modwen’s decision to double in size over the next five years. Already, the developer has built almost 1200 new homes in 2021 and received a satisfaction rating of over 90% from a Home Builder Federation customer survey.
In September 2021, St. Modwen was named by Homes England as a preferred partner in its new Delivery Partner dynamic purchasing scheme.
The 1,100 new homes are in response to the urgent need for housing in the UK
Managing director of St. Modwen Homes Dave Smith commented:
“There is an urgent need for new homes in the UK, but the homes that are delivered need to be high quality, and communities must be created in the right places.
“St. Modwen has a proud record of delivering homes of the highest standard and thriving communities for people to live. Today’s announcement expands our footprint into new areas across the UK and builds on our continued, sustainable growth.”
