Structural warranty insurance, ABC+ Warranty has reported another high level of activity in the construction industry from new builds to conversion works
With help from the government’s CBILS loan scheme, many developers and contractors with limited companies have taken advantage of the CBILS to help kickstart or even fund their next projects.
In fact, ABC+ Warranty, has recently expanded their team to assist us with the additional flurry of new enquiries.
Providing skills to young people
Two new apprentice surveyors, Jack Fairlie and Oskar Koch, who are being fully supported through their Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors degree as Chartered Building Surveyors by ABC+ Warranty.
“It’s great to be able to give something back to our industry. Providing professional qualifications and skills to young people is essential in the construction industry.
“It’s great to be able to help young people especially in the current climate when jobs are scarce,” said Adele Reid, managing director at ABC+.
The structural warranty company, based in Manchester, has also recently supported one of their existing surveyors, Chris Palin, on his journey to the Chartered Institute of Builders qualification, CIOB.
“Chris is another great success story. His previous employer didn’t have the time to invest in him; we saw his potential. As a mature student, Chris already had a wealth of construction knowledge and experience so when teamed with his hard work and determination, it was an easy decision to invest in him,” said Jason Burns, RICS principal for ABC+.
Maintaining award-winning services
The structural warranty provider is constantly looking at ways to maintain its award-winning services and is busy building a new CRM system to simplify the warranty process. We already provide the fastest quotation service in the UK so this will bring more benefits to ABC+ customers and staff.
ABC+ is also investing in drones and licences for its surveyors via the Civil Aviation Authority. Drones are a great tool for inspecting those difficult to reach high-storey buildings and roof spaces.
During Covid-19, we have embraced all new technologies available for the construction industry and the introduction of drones will enable us to enhance our inspection service and stay one step ahead of our competitors. All inspections are carried out by our fully chartered team of surveyors, which sets us apart from other warranty providers.
Additional inspections via Zoom are already available for all ABC+ clients. These additional inspections are a great way of recording video footage of construction works being carried out to buildings and form an essential history of works carried out.
