Tilbury Douglas to deliver £4.3m Warrington hospital extension

Tilbury Douglas has been appointed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to deliver a £4.3m extension of the Emergency Department at Warrington hospital

The two-story hospital extension of the Appleton Building will increase capacity, modernise facilities and improve patient care.

The project, which is more than 1,000m2, will extend spaces for waiting, assessment and treatment rooms, as well as new staff rooms and offices.

This is an exciting scheme to be involved with as it is our first project with this Trust, which will further add to our depth of healthcare experience in the North West.”

The extension will deliver a Social Value Return on Investment of £1.7m.

Construction begins on site in late October 2021 and is set to be completed by Spring 2022.
