Housing developer Torus has appointed 28 new members to its consultancy framework, increasing access to affordable homes across the Northwest of England

The latest framework will see Torus Developments build numerous homes across the Liverpool City Region, Cheshire and Lancashire in the coming years, enabling the team to mobilise quickly and efficiently on new sites, and increase access to affordable homes across the Northwest.

Offering Torus Developments the flexibility to employ different consultants quickly and expedite the planning and construction process, this framework will support not only the building of new homes, but the creation of strong communities.

The framework will not only support Torus Developments to reach its goal of building over 5,000 new homes in the coming years, but see millions reinvested into communities, directly helping people into training or employment, access financial and digital support and take part in health and wellbeing activities.

‘Building great homes and strong communities’

Group head of development, Anna James, said: “In order to meet – and potentially exceed – our goal of building 9,000 homes across the North West, it’s imperative we have a variety of Consultants to assist with our diverse programme which includes Extra Care schemes, Listed Buildings and High-Rise apartments.

“With our development programme continuously growing and covering new areas, it is important that wherever we build, we work with partners that share our values and are dedicated to making a positive change to the neighbourhoods we regenerate and support the people who choose to live there to thrive.

“Our latest framework shows our commitment – not only to our programme and building homes – but to working with local organisations to benefit local people and create places people want to live.

“Our operational model allows us to create a sustainable ecosystem which bolsters the affordable housing market and makes a real difference to communities across the North West and we are excited to begin working with local partners to continue building great homes and strong communities.”
