A major construction industry event is set to return after a successful launch last year. Media 10’s UK Construction week will be held during 18-20 October at the NEC in Birmingham. The event will bring together nine shows under one roof.

Last year, the event played host to more than 24,000 trade visitors and 650 exhibitors. The organisers said the 2016 show will be even bigger. Among those already signed up for the event is JCB, Kingspan, Screwfix, and CEMEX.

The event aims to provide visitors with exclusive deals from leading brands, as well as networking opportunities with other professionals in their area of expertise. There will be discussion surrounding the latest construction legislation, as well was the future of the sector.

Media 10’s CEO Lee Newton said: “As the largest event dedicated to knowledge sharing, championing good practice and problem solving, UK Construction Week is the environment for the whole industry to look, talk, plan, learn and do business; providing answers for what, when, where and how we build our future.

“Research proves that the biggest attraction for visitors is the vast number of products and diverse range of services on offer. There is no other construction event that can compete at this level.”

Among the issues expected to be discussed during the event will be diversity in construction, the skills shortage, the housing crisis, and BIM.
