Technology company, Yotta has secured a 7-year deal with CGI, a leading independent IT firm, to deliver asset management services to Glasgow City Council

The contract is the largest Yotta has won so far in Scotland.

Yotta will be delivering all the modules of its Mayrise Asset Management Suite to the Land and Environmental Services directorate within Glasgow City Council.

The technology will help the council to carry out trade waste collections; street cleansing; grounds maintenance; street lighting, and roads maintenance

Using mobile technology, Yotta will provide on the go access to the system for several hundred council operatives working across the service areas.

The Mayrise in-cab system will also be implemented across an extensive fleet of council waste collection vehicles.

George Gillespie, Assistant Director of Land and Environmental Services, Glasgow City Council said: “Each department within the council has a vast range of services to run and operate but historically we have been quite fragmented in terms both of our operations and our delivery mechanisms.

“Of the providers we saw, Yotta was the only one capable of tackling all our service challenges and needs, with the depth of capability we required.

“We believe Yotta’s integrated asset management services and solutions will be invaluable in terms of how we manage and co-ordinate our whole approach to asset management moving forwards.”

The council will also be use Yotta’s visualised asset management software, Horizons, which will enable it to test an array of different long-term planning strategies, driven either by budget or a specific service level.

This will help the council to choose the optimum roads maintenance investment model.

CGI is also currently in the process of implementing a new CRM system for Glasgow City Council that will also be integrated into the system as a whole.
