Plant equipment manufacturer Hyundai has added two new construction machines with the launch of a new wheeled loader and mini excavator
At the SaMoTer exhibition in Verona, Italy, plant equipment firm Hyundai launched two new machines. The new HL975 offers the best in wheeled loader technology, and was designed with users in mind, while the R30Z-9AK mini excavator is designed for use on smaller sites.
Wheeled loader
The HL975 wheeled loader has an operating weight of 26,500kg and the latest Stage IV Cummins QSG12 engine with a maximum gross power of 250kW at 2100rpm (net power 247kW).
The HL975 also boasts the ability to work in tough environments due to its power. The machine underwent rigorous tests at various work sites and was capable of performing any high-load work to maximize productivity. Frames and attachments are particularly durable, having been enhanced by 1.5 times when compared to the previous generation 9-series.
Furthermore, the machine has given thought to fuel-efficiency and has many environmentally friendly features. This includes the automatic shutdown of the engine to prevent emissions and unnecessary fuel consumption. The machine also has the ability to enter an ‘idling’ state, which can be determined by operators, depending upon the work environment.
Safety is also a feature of the HL975 wheeled loader. The new cabin is 10 per cent larger and offers an ergonomic working environment for the operator. State-of-the-art noise reduction technology has been installed in the cabin to protect workers from noisy environments, while the air conditioning system optimises air flow.
The machine has an intelligent seven-inch touch screen monitor, which includes an audio system with an integrated Bluetooth hands free feature and a built-in microphone.
The ‘Infotainment’ system gives the operator access to the Miracast system which enables the use of navigation, web surfing, as well as the ability to watch videos and listen to music.
Mini excavator
Hyundai also launched its new mini excavator at the SaMoTer exhibition. The R30Z-9AK is described as a compact design, with a zero tail swing radius which allows the operator to work in confined areas such as close to buildings on roadways and in inner-city areas.
The machine, which weighs 2.88kg, is aimed at contractors and tradesmen. It offers versatility, efficiency and stability.
Powered by a fuel efficient Kubota D1305 engine, which is rated at 18.1kW (24.97 HP) at 2,350 rpm, this new model supersedes the R27Z-9.
The machine is fitted with an ergonomically designed cabin, designed to reduce sound levels and provide good visibility. A canopy option is also available, with both styles of machines meeting international standards required.
To ensure safety and the operator is in full control there is a monitoring system that includes seven warning indicators. Machine status information is also given, such as engine oil pressure lamp, battery charge lamp, engine coolant temperature and a fuel gauge so the operator is aware of the machine’s performance at all times.
