Construction equipment specialists, Nixon Hire, has ordered 230 JCB telehandler machines for 2019, amounting to over £10m in value
The 230 JCB telehandler machines are the largest construction equipment order Nixon Hire has ever placed.
Announcing the order, Graham Nixon Managing Director of Nixon Hire said: “Nixon Hire have committed to spend over £22m in 2019 as part of our capital expenditure (CAPEX) schedule and the order we have placed with JCB is the largest purchase within this programme – at £10m it is actually the largest single order for equipment we’ve ever placed!
“The purchase of these machines comes at a very exciting period of growth for Nixon Hire. Our Depot Network is expanding and the fleet is getting larger – all of which enhances our service offering to customers nationwide.”
Nixon continued: “Telehandlers are a core product for Nixon Hire and JCB machines remain in high demand with customers from a wide range of industries due to their durability, comfort and reliability. We have placed such a large order to meet this demand and to fulfil our planned fleet replacement programme.
“Running and maintaining a modern fleet of equipment is a priority for Nixon Hire. Regularly purchasing kit and replacing older machines with new, ensures our equipment offers the latest in safety features and engine emission technology.
“Nixon Hire have [has] been trading for 52 years and our ambition to be the number one hire company for plant, site accommodation, toilets and welfare facilities is stronger than ever.”
It would be an extraordinary novelty if the request were to buy 230 autonomous JCB telehandler machines! But no problem, maybe the next acquisition is of totally autonomous equipment! Who knows the development of IoT reaches the necessary level.
