Willmott Dixon has been selected by the London Borough of Brent to build 55 affordable homes in Brent, as well as two community centres
Willmott Dixon will deliver two new community centres alongside 55 affordable homes in Brent under contracts worth a combined £30m.
Willmott Dixon was procured on both contracts via the SCAPE Construction framework.
The Learie Constantine Community Centre project will provide 26 apartments
The £13.6m Learie Constantine Community Centre project, which demolish the existing building to create 26 new homes made up of one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well the new home for the Centre.
29 affordable homes in Brent will be created at the Brent Indian Centre Project
The larger of the two contracts, the Brent Indian Centre project will also see the demolition of an existing building to create new community facilities and affordable homes in Brent.
The current building’s occupants, the Brent Indian Community, will move into the new development, which will include a large multi-purpose hall, commercial kitchen, offices and an IT training room.
