Sorting waste the efficient way with the use of a new waste baler installation
With business very much on the up, leading independent Waste Management provider to commercial, industrial and domestic sectors, Mick George Ltd continues to invest in innovative machinery to improve efficiency within its service offerings.
This time around, it comes with the installation of a Waste Baler at the companies St. Ives Recycling Centre. However, this is no ordinary Baler, the Aries 115 Twin Ram Baler with cross wrap for Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Card, is exclusively used worldwide, providing copious benefits to that of standard models more frequently utilised within the industry.
The 70 or 115 ton pressing force has the capability to produce high density bales of up to 700kg in weight, for multiple materials including Plastic Bottles, UBC cans, Paper trim, Cardboard, Polythene sheet, Textiles, Foam scrap, as well as others. The robust machine is fully automatic and fitted with the Accent 470 wire tie’ with a capacity of up to 20 bales per hour.
The application is an expansion to the comprehensive Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) recently fitted at the site. Both will be used in conjunction, with an infeed chain conveyor for the bulk loading of products and recyclable materials.
The sheer volume of waste that the organisation accumulates, means that that the Baler will prove advantageous in a multitude of ways. Not only significantly reducing storage space, and consequently improving working conditions, but also enhancing handling convenience during the disposal process.
And it doesn’t stop there, the Baler signifies another important venture that Mick George Ltd is about to engage.
Although waste is widely recognised as something that has very little positive connotations, it is in fact a commodity that we simply cannot live without, due to its environmental impact as a recycling or energy source.
Already trading its own waste, Mick George Ltd are currently formulating plans to expand its Waste Management provision to effectively buy waste produced by other third parties, and sell on to end users or processors in a ‘broker’ type fashion.
