LHC Procurement Group delivers a simple core service – it brings buyers and suppliers together, to build and maintain public property more efficiently and cost-effectively, and to benefit the local community.

Building frameworks

LHC Procurement Group Limited is a not-for-profit central purchasing body who develops OJEU-compliant frameworks in England, Scotland (on behalf of the Scottish Procurement Alliance), and Wales (on behalf of the Welsh Procurement Alliance).

LHC’s frameworks are available to all publicly funded contracting authorities to procure works, goods, and services to construct, refurbish and maintain social housing, schools, and public buildings.

Heritage and expertise

LHC was established by London boroughs in 1966, but now has offices and field-based staff throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. More than 700 public organisations have used its frameworks.

Working with LHC frameworks gives suppliers access to construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects of over £100m each financial year. Clients who spend more than £200,000 on two or more frameworks in a year, will benefit from a share in the LHC operating surplus we return to Members.

LHC Procurement Group made the strategic decision to alter its organisational structure due to the localisation agenda in the UK which required it to have a greater understanding of clients’ local aims and needs.

The approach the organisation has taken allows LHC Procurement Group to reinforce its position as a centre of technical and procurement excellence.
