Sterling have announced the launch of new integration with Autodesk’s services to streamline project manager’s use of the system

On 1 August, Sterling announced a new integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud into their services.

The new tool is designed to help builders and project managers through a range of different softwares and services.

The Sterling Autodesk integration offers advanced technology solutions

The services offered through the new integration include the importation of BIM 3D models and their 2D drawings from various places into Sterling, a builders network, and predictive insights.

It also allows those working on projects to access important documentation directly in Sterling’s software.

This streamlining of the process is intended to improve project workflows by removing the need to access documents through other software, as well as automatically displaying geometry changes in both 2D and 3D drawings, and showing associated changes in cost, carbon, and quantities.

As well as easily showing the impact of updates to the design, the Sterling Autodesk integration will also minimise manual input and errors.

Sterling and Autodesk commented on their new collaboration

Sterling CEO, Steve Brunning, said: “We are very proud to be an Autodesk Construction Cloud partner. The integration not only brings an integrated solution to our customers for Take-off and Cost & Carbon estimating, but also supports the construction industry’s drive towards de-carbonization.”

Sterling CTO, James Hunter, said: “Our integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud is a game-changer for construction professionals. Connecting these two powerful platforms enables our users to streamline their workflows and enhance their productivity.”

Autodesk’s director of industry & technology partnerships, James Cook, said: “Efficient and accurate materials planning during preconstruction not only enables teams to win more work, but also minimizes future waste and rework.

“By generating cost and carbon estimates in Sterling from 3D models managed in Autodesk Construction Cloud, project managers can be confident that their take-off packages are based on the most current data.”
