An artificial intelligence camera system will bolster health and safety on the Sellafield nuclear site.
A former nuclear power generation plant, Sellafield in West Cumbria remains Europe’s largest nuclear site, now providing nuclear waste processing and storage and nuclear decommissioning.
The ‘Human-form detection devices’ were tested onsite last year
Safety Shield Global has won a contract to fit its revolutionary ‘human-form detection devices’ to mobile operated plant at Sellafield in a deal which could then be replicated across the UK.
Fully supported by plant provider G&AM Lawson Ltd, the Safety Shield Artificial Intelligence Human Form Detection system was demonstrated and tested at Sellafield last year before being introduced into the workplace this month.
