Go Geothermal’s national heat pump training centres provide plumbers and heating engineers with hands-on training and experience in installing air source heat pumps
Air source heat pump training centres in the North-East (Newton Aycliffe) and the Midlands (Worcester) are now open for bookings, and further locations will be announced across the UK in 2024.
The centres are being established to meet rising demand from businesses and householders moving to renewable energy technology as part of the Government’s national zero carbon targets.
Plumbers/heating engineers will be shown how to install the CTC brand of air source heat pumps exclusive to Go Geothermal in the UK.
Trainees will gain a Cert-ain Level 3
At the end of the course, people will receive the nationally accredited Cert-ain Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Heat Pumps.
Darran Burrage, Go Geothermal commercial director, said: “Renewable energy technology like heat pumps will play a vital role as the UK moves to carbon neutral status by 2050, so we’re pleased to be making our own contribution towards this goal by offering installer training at two centres, with more to follow in 2024.
“They will receive training on our state-of-the-art CTC brand of air source heat pumps made in Sweden.
