Electric Heating manufacturer Fischer Future Heat has announced the launch of a brand new Eco Electric Boiler

The Eco Electric Boiler is Fischer’s latest offering in their range of electric heating products, featuring self-modulation technology, wireless control and zero emissions at the point of use. The Eco Electric boiler is built to last and promises easy installation, efficiency and control.

Demand for electric boilers has increased by over 45% in the last two-years as homeowners look to replace their inefficient gas boilers.

With heat pumps not suitable for every household, the Eco Electric Boiler opens the door to everyone in the UK looking to lower emissions.

The next generation of boiler

Over the last year, 47% of those in the UK have purchased low-carbon technology. With levies on electricity and gas pricing expected to change, reducing the price of electricity, the market for electric heating products is set to boom.

Electric boilers have emerged as an ideal alternative to air-source heat pumps and gas and oil boilers in recent years for their ease of installation, low maintenance, familiarity and compatibility with solar panels.

Fischer’s Eco Electric boiler features self-modulating technology which can automatically reduce power by up to 50% if it senses that customers require less energy over the next hour to heat. This means the system will have fewer stop/starts and can save users money on their energy bills.

The boilers can come in two different models. The electric Combi Boiler delivers both hot water and heating and the Heat-Only Boiler – which works in conjunction with electric water systems that provide hot water on demand without the need for a water storage cylinder.

The heat pump alternative

Fischer Future Heat established its reputation through Electric HeatCore Radiators, with CEO Keith Bastian believing that offering a choice to the public is key to lowering emissions.

“The diverse nature of homes in the UK means a blanket solution to lowering household emissions isn’t going to work. There need to be alternatives for homeowners to choose from and not be given unsuitable options”

A report published by the Energy & Utilities Alliance (EUA) recently analysed 22.7m UK homes and highlighted “limiting factors” to installing heat pumps in eight to 12m of them. One of the most common themes to emerge was the lack of available space to be able to install a heat pump.

The Fischer Eco Electric boiler with self-regulating power can be connected to an existing network of radiators or underfloor heating and water system. This opens up the pathway for a stress-free way of transitioning homes away from fossil fuels like gas and oil or unsuitable options like air source heat pumps.

Key features of Fischer Eco Electric Boilers

  • Added efficiency: The boiler features modulation technology that automatically adjusts its power output based on the user’s heating needs – resulting in a reduction in energy use.
  • Easy Installation: Fischer’s Eco Electric Boiler can be utilised with existing wet radiators, underfloor heating, and hot water systems, making it a stress-free upgrade from fossil fuel boilers.
  • Customisation and Control: Modulation ensures optimal power use for any home, keeping homeowners comfortable without wasting energy. As standard the boiler will be supplied with the Fischer wireless thermostat to allow set programme and temperature preferences. A Wifi upgrade is available, as well as the boiler being compatible with any existing smart thermostat like Hive.
