Alan Mak confirmed as new construction minister

Alan Mak has been appointed as the new government construction minister, replacing previous minister Nusrat Ghani

Alan Mak will become the 25th holder of the role this century. He will also become co-chair of the CLC with Mark Reynolds, Mace’s chief executive.

Mak was also named as parliamentary under-secretary of state for industry and economic security earlier this month.

Previously, Mak was exchequer secretary to the Treasury between 8 July 2022 and 8 September 2022.
