Keltbray has announced that they have completed the sale of Infrastructure Services Limited (KISL) to EMK Capital

Keltbray has released a joint statement with EMK Capital, announcing the sale of Keltbray Infrastructure Services Limited to EMK, after announcing they were looking for a buyer last month.

The move comes to allow Keltbray to focus on its core areas of business, and allow EMK to bring financial growth to KISL.

Keltbray first expanded into infrastructure in 2009, when they bought Gamble Rail, and then Aspire Rail in 2010. In 2013, Keltbray established an energy networks business. Both Keltbray Infrastructure Services Limited and the Built Environment services grew from there.

Keltbray can focus on other things

The sale of KISL will let Keltbray focus more on being a market contractor, and increasing earnings quality.

This will primarily come in the form of re-focusing on Keltbray’s core mission within the built environment and selected markets and promoting the company’s self-delivery approach. Keltbray will also focus on developing their own staff, and expanding on new business opportunities.

Brendan Kerr, owner of Keltbray, said: “This decision aligns with Keltbray’s long-term strategy to hone our focus on key business areas, allowing us to reinforce our commitment to excellence in the specialist engineering sector. Now is the right time for KISL to transition to a new owner and start a new chapter in its successful growth story.”

Keltbray Infrastructure Services Limited commented on the acquisition

Darren James, CEO of KISL, said: “KISL is well-placed to realise our potential in the energy transition and decarbonised transport market with our strong market position and sustainable business approach.

“EMK Capital’s deep understanding of the infrastructure and engineering services sector, coupled with its expertise in delivering transformational growth, will enable us to take meaningful steps towards geographic and service offering expansion, while maintaining our high-quality customer relationships and safety-driven employee culture.”

In time, Keltbray Infrastructure Services Limited will be renamed to remove the Keltbray brand and reflect EMK’s ownership.
