The UK’s only dedicated timber exhibition, Timber Expo, will make its return to UKCW Birmingham at the NEC from 3-5 October

The UK’s largest event for the built environment is returning to Birmingham’s NEC, bringing the Timber Expo with it.

Established over a decade ago, Timber Expo will bring together award-winning architects, clients, and contractors to showcase all that timber has to offer.

It’s the UK’s largest showcase event for wood and timber in construction, covering structural timber frames, sawmills, merchants, glulam, SIPs, CLT, fixings and fastenings, timber cladding, doors and windows, mouldings, skirtings, and flooring products.

This year’s exhibitors include:

  • Aagaard A/S (UK) – Aagaard A/S develops, produces, markets and mounts turnkey systems for wood-working and furniture industry all over the world.

The Sustainability Hub is the heart of Timber Expo

Nathan Garnett, UKCW show director, commented: “UK Construction Week has always put timber at the centre of our event. The drive to net-zero and the increasing need to improve quality in construction mean we need to enable a culture change in the way we build.”

The hub programme will tackle the issues, layout strategies and case studies to help the sector reach its net zero targets.

Andrew Carpenter, chief executive officer – Structural Timber Association, will be speaking on 3rd October about the Net Zero Strategy and England Trees Action Plan to increase the safe use of timber in construction as part of wider measures to reduce carbon in the built environment and stimulate demand for tree planting.

This is followed by a case study of Stockholm Wood City, an entire mass timber development, the largest wood-building project in the world which is now in progress.

You will also find relevant timber talks in the CPD Hub – a mix of industry relevant CPDs delivered by industry experts such as Jacqui Hughes, product specification advisor at Hanson Plywood.
