Balfour Beatty announces Nick Crossfield as new CEO for UK construction services

Balfour Beatty has announced that Nick Crossfield will join the group later this year as the CEO of its UK Construction Services business

Crossfield will be responsible for the strategic leadership of Balfour Beatty’s UK Construction Services.

He will execute business plans and expand the company’s presence in the growing infrastructure market, including energy, defence, and sustainable transportation sectors.

Balfour Beatty aims to solidify its position as the preferred partner for prominent clients such as SCAPE, the Environment Agency, the NHS, Rolls Royce, and local authorities.

Nick will join the Executive Committee and report directly to group chief executive Leo Quinn.

About Nick Crossfield

Nick holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Reading University and brings over 40 years of experience in the industrial and engineering sectors.

He began his career as a BAE Systems graduate and has since worked with British Steel, Network Rail, and Siemens.

Crossfield has been the managing director of Alstom Transportation’s UK and Ireland business since 2015.
