Jonathan Goodman, former CEO of Polestar UK, has officially joined the EV-Network, taking the role of non-executive director as part of the network’s growth

The EV-Network has received a new non-executive director as Jonathan Goodman joins their ranks.

Goodman has a plethora of experience to contribute to the network, as the former CEO of electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Polestar UK, as well as previously being the vice president of Volvo and Stellantis, and the director general at Peugeot UK.

The EV-Network is expanding UK infrastructure

The EV-Network, like other companies, is expanding the UK’s EV infrastructure, and Jonathan Goodman is a part of that.

Recently, they completed one of the largest European charging hubs, located at the NEC Birmingham. This project sees the addition of 30 charging points for NEC, benefitting visitors, nearby residents, and those on their way to Birmingham Airport.

The electric vehicle industry is set to boom

The Government targets 2030 as the year to have most vehicles on the road be electric – 80% – and so the UK will require the infrastructure to support that.

The EV-Network offers a model whereby they buy and lease land from landlords to use for EV charging infrastructure, maximising both quality and speed in constructing the required charging points.

CEO and co-founder of The EV Network, Reza Shaybani, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan to our Board of Directors. Jonathan’s profound knowledge of the automotive industry, coupled with his leadership in promoting electric vehicles, aligns perfectly with our vision at The EV Network. His strategic insights and industry experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our EV infrastructure and accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.”

Jonathan Goodman said: “I am honoured to join The EV Network at such a pivotal time in the EV industry. The company’s commitment to developing innovative and accessible EV infrastructure is crucial for the future of sustainable transportation. I look forward to working with the Board and the management team to support the company’s growth and drive the adoption of electric vehicles.”
