Rachel Addison joins Wates board as non-executive director

Chartered accountant Rachel Addison has joined the Wates Group Board as a non-executive director, the only woman on the Board

A chartered accountant with nearly 30 years of experience in finance and operations, Rachel Addison will chair the Group’s Audit Committee, overseeing financial reporting, processes, and regulatory compliance.

She joins the 10 male executives on the board, as well as the ten men and one woman on the executive committee in Wates’ c-suite.

Other recent appointments at Wates include Eoghan O’Lionaird as chief executive and Martin Ballard as head of environment.

Rachel has already held executive roles in multiple other companies

Currently a non-executive director of Marlowe plc, Watkin Jones plc, Gamma Communications plc, and Florida-based Mango Publishing Group, Rachel has extensive experience in senior roles.

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Rachel has held senior financial, operational and board level roles throughout her career.

She was chief financial ifficer at both Future plc and TI Media Limited; managing director for Reach Regionals; was both CFO and chief operating officer for Local World Limited and Northcliffe Media Limited and head of risk management at Boots the Chemist.
