Tilbury Douglas has announced the promotion of Barry O’Hagan to the position of regional director for Scotland
O’Hagan will bring over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He has successfully overseen both main contractor and subcontractor operations. O’Hagan initially joined Tilbury Douglas in 2022 as the operations director for Scotland.
“Since joining the company, Barry O’Hagan has made a significant and positive impact on all parts of the regional business, and I have every confidence he will lead the Scottish region as it expands and grows further in the future,” commented John Gittins, managing director of Building North at Tilbury Douglas.
Tilbury Douglas continues to improve their team
O’Hagan’s appointment is one of many new additions Tilbury Douglas has made in recent weeks.
Paul Gandy was recently unveiled as the company’s new vice president of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). He will succeed Mike Kagioglou as CIOB president in 2024. Gandy will focus on competency challenges, emphasising the industry’s positive societal impact.
Matt Gill will join Tilbury Douglas as the new chief financial officer following the retirement of the current finance director, George Restall, later this year. Gill’s extensive financial experience includes roles at organisations such as Heathrow Limited, Laing O’Rourke, and McCarthy & Stone.
“The business has recently started its next chapter and continues to be customer-focused, with strong support from its shareholders. I look forward to meeting more of my new colleagues over the coming weeks and playing a part in developing the business further,” commented Gill.
