LHC Procurement Group’s (LHC) Consultancy Services (CS1) framework has announced the 116 appointed companies, where between 35% and 60% in each lot are micro and small companies

CS1 replaces LHC’s current Housing (H1 WS1) Framework and is valued at £10m across England, Wales and Scotland.

The £30m framework will support new build, refurbishment and retrofit of public sector buildings and homes and is available until April 2027 in England and Wales.

The framework is split into four workstreams: professional construction management and design services; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, asset management; and environmental services.

The inclusion of SMEs support regional economies

Dean Fazackerley, head of technical procurement, commented: “The framework arrives as a result of thorough engagement with public sector procurement teams who said they were looking for access to a wide range of specialist expertise under one framework, from initial design, to build, and asset management and maintenance.

As well as large and medium-sized construction and engineering consultancies, the companies across 21 lots are comprised of around 80% SMEs, and between 35% and 60% in each lot are micro and small companies.

“One of our guiding principles at LHC is to increase the public sector’s access to regional and local supply chains, encouraging SME involvement and driving economic uplift to regional areas.

“The fact that a large majority of the consultancies appointed are SMEs is testament to our commitment to this principle, and we hope the wide range of companies appointed to CS1 will help to achieve that.”

The appointees to CS1 workstream two from England and Wales are:

  • Bailey Partnership (Consultants) LLP
  • Butler & Young Services Ltd
  • Clear Safety Services Ltd
  • Couch Perry & Wilkes LLP
  • David Miles & Partners Limited
  • DRAC Consulting Ltd
  • McCann & Partners Ltd
  • Method Consulting LLP
  • Ridge and Partners LLP
  • Wallace Whittle Limited
  • Watts Group Limited

Existing LHC frameworks will continue alongside CS1

The Midlands and North of England will have access to CS1’s MEP, asset management, and health, safety and environmental consultancy services via the LHC business units London and South East (LSE) and Consortium Procurement Construction (CPC).

Meanwhile, the framework provider’s pre-existing Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy Services (MDC1) Framework will still offer services such as construction consultancy, design, civil and structural services.

CS1 is available in full through South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) across South West England and Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) in Wales.

From mid-May it will also be delivered by Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) across Scotland.

The CS1 framework runs until April 2027 and you can find more information here.
