Embassy Village, a project for housing homeless men, is set to begin construction with the intent of tackling homelessness in Greater Manchester
The housing project for homeless men is being supported by the property and construction consultancy Edmond Shipway, providing project management and cost consultancy services.
The project will see the construction of 40 houses, purpose-built for homeless men.
Embassy Village is the next step for the Embassy charity
The village will provide a community centre, green space, and a multi-use sports centre.
Other partners contributing to the scheme include Arcadis providing project management services for the first half of the project, Peel Waters providing the land, Capital&Centric, and the Vermont Construction Group.
The village will provide shelter, skills training, and wraparound support for homeless men, with a separate village for homeless women planned in the near future.

The average time those who are homeless spend in shelter is between ten and 15 years, which has a huge impact on their confidence and mental health, whereas the average stay at Embassy is currently 14 months. Embassy Village will allow us to support even more people in Manchester to get their lives back on track, and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who is helping us reach this goal.”
