The Good Homes Alliance (GHA) has welcomed J3 Advisory as a new member and lead partner for GHA’s workstream on insurance and property funding to share insurance and funding expertise for new build homes
J3 provides specialist advisory services for structured property finance and construction insurance, including new-build home and social housing warranties.
Currently, developers often experience delays in accessing insurance and funding as neither discipline communicates effectively with the other.
A mutually beneficial ecosystem for regional developers, SMEs, and property professionals
With vast expertise from both the insurance and finance markets, J3 aims to fuse these two fragmented items to create a mutually beneficial ecosystem for regional developers, SMEs, and property professionals.
Via knowledge-sharing forums and GHA-curated events, J3 is seeking to provide advice and expertise to the 30+ forward-thinking local authorities, housing associations and private sector developers within the GHA membership, who are collectively set to build over 125,000 new homes over the next 10 years.
J3 will sponsor the GHA’s ongoing ‘Build Net Zero Now’ campaign
Partnering with GHA represents a natural evolution for J3. It aligns with their steadfast dedication to fostering excellence within the industry and enables them to work closely with developers, housing associations, and property professionals who share their vision for advancing construction standards.
As part of the partnership, J3 will also be sponsoring the GHA’s ongoing Build Net Zero Now campaign, which is now in a third phase, with continued focus on innovative finance, energy solutions, and urban design, planning, placemaking & biodiversity.
The campaign launched in 2020 and aims to empower housebuilders and their supply chains by providing them with the knowledge and tools to go above and beyond national minimum standards and deliver net zero homes now.
Providing much-needed knowledge to housing clients
J3 will be part of a new finance think tank launched as part of the campaign to provide leadership in green finance, sustainability, and climate change. Outputs will include think pieces, roundtables, knowledge-sharing events, further development of a finance manifesto, and a revision of the Green Shift report on financial incentives for net zero development.
Richard Broad, projects and communications manager at Good Homes Alliance commented: “We are delighted to welcome J3 Advisory to our Alliance. J3’s expertise in insurance, warranties, and development finance will provide much-needed knowledge to housing clients within our network to help fund and build the high-quality housing projects required to meet our net zero commitments.”
Timothy Woodgate, senior advisor at J3 Advisory, added, “We are pleased to be supporting the Good Homes Alliance and its initiatives that champion the creation of sustainable and innovative homes. By combining J3’s expertise in insurance and finance, we aim to empower members to make informed decisions that not only enhance project viability but also positively impact the bottom line.”
